The Flag Project 2022 is a remarkable collaboration between the Climate Museum and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), set around the Rockefeller Center ice skating rink in New York. This powerful initiative aims to raise global awareness about the urgent need for environmental action, uniting art and advocacy to inspire change.
As one of the selected artists, I had the honor of contributing to this transformative project, where creativity meets sustainability. The flags, each a unique piece of art, represent diverse perspectives on climate change, ecological preservation, and the vital need for collective responsibility in protecting our planet. Displayed in one of New York's most recognized landmarks, these flags serve as a visual call to action, sparking conversations and encouraging individuals to think critically about their role in preserving the environment.
The Flag Project 2022 is more than just an art exhibition—it’s a global movement. Through this initiative, the power of art serves to amplify the importance of environmental awareness, urging us all to take proactive steps toward a greener, more sustainable future. Being part of this extraordinary collaboration has been an incredible experience, allowing me to contribute to a cause greater than art alone, but one that resonates deeply with the challenges of our time.
