Following the inquiries raised in The Curators, IMUR Gallery presents Impossible Portraits, an exhibition that unsettles how we see, define, and interpret identity.

Moving beyond likeness, the works in this show treat portraiture as a field of memory, perception, and psychological depth — where the self is not fixed, but layered, shifting, and emotionally charged. If curation is an act of framing vision, Impossible Portraits asks us to consider what lies beyond the frame: the invisible, the fragmented, and the truths that resist being pinned down.

We invite you to look beyond the surface and reflect on how we are seen, how we feel, and how we exist in between.
